A bear in a car in the woods

This might look like a fun retro racing game, but it’s not. It’s rather a car experience from a bear’s point of view. Just like a bear isn’t able to read any manual instructions, you’re not given much advice other than: “Operation Hibernation. Eat fish and berries to fatten up! Winter arrives in 5 minutes.”

When the game starts, you find yourself as a one armed bear in a car. How the hell do you eat berries and fish now? You’ll find out by yourself with a little patience. Find out how the controls of the car work first. They really do work. Then concentrate on the food. After having eaten enough, you will have to worry about how to hibernate.

The graphical style and the music and the sound effects are really cool but the whole setting with the bear in a car goes beyond. It breaks with what I expect from a game in a special way and thus extends how I think about the environment, bears, cars and fish. I think this game is a piece of art. Don’t miss it! (And don’t watch any videos of it – it’ll destroy part of the experience!)
