Katamari

The King of All Cosmos for your iPhone.

This is really a blast. Katamari, the cutting-edge PlayStation game for the iPhone. The King of All Cosmos charges you, ‘the prince’, to go to the earth, with a katamari, a magic ball that collects everything it touches, that is smaller than the ball. You roll the katamari through different areas like a big town, an island or a residence. The areas are full of different objects, from small to big. Objects which are smaller than your katamari will stick on it and after you collected enough objects the ball will grow so you can collect bigger things. Time is ticking and you have to make your katamari as big as it gets.

The controls work on the iPhone pretty well and easy. You have to tilt the iPhone side to side to move the ball left and right and tilt it upwards to roll forwards and downwards to roll backwards.

The iPhone-version includes 5 different levels: takeda residence, backyard, park, town and island. They have all tones of different stuff to roll over and collect to get bigger and bigger. For example: cassettes, sushi-rolls, rubbers, dogs, cars, trees, buildings… . Each level contains a story mode, a time attack mode, an exact size challenge mode and an eternal mode, where you can roll as long as you want through the beautiful katamari-world, enjoying the lovely soundtrack.

I enjoy playing katamari everywhere. The idea of the game is unique and it could only come from Japan. It has a particular sense of humor. This unique combination of concept, music, graphics and sound effects makes katamari already a classic.

In the first level, stay on the table, as long as there is stuff to collect on it. be fast. if the king isn’t satisfied, it means your katamari is too small. you can do it! :)
