Our latest app is a game for the whole family. You have to find the matching soundclips on the button grid. It is playable with up to 4 players and comes with 4 grid sizes and 6 different soundsets: animals, sound effects, household sounds, birds, commands & human sounds. Simple, fun & challenging.

And yes, you can actually play the games and even improve your skills…

Gameplay

A side by side puzzle swapper. App Store link (0,79 €)

As an employee of the Asynch Corp. you need to create packets and send them of. A packet is at minimun 4 connected blocs of one colour. You create them by swapping blocs from the left side with blocs from the right side. Fun, fun music and a fun corporation theme wrapped around it. Addictive!

Water's turn - a cold card

Simple two player card game with a mix of strategy & luck. App Store link (1,59 €)

The players (orange = earth & green = water) fill the board with three types of cards: normal, fire & ice. Play against your friend or the computer. Satisfying and not frustrating if you lose, because you know there is luck involved. Great pixel art and cool 8bit soundtrack.

Horror Vacui 2 is also out. It is an isometric version of the same game. Looks cool, but i like version one better, because it simple and thus less confusing.

This game is much more fun than other simulation games I know of (Hot Springs Story, Tiny Tower, Farmville), because you can actually do / create something rather than clicking from task to task like. I played this for weeks!

Snake chain bits

A crossbreed of Pong and rhythm games. App Store link (1,59 €)

You control the paddle on the left hand side of the screen up and down by either tilt or touch control. In the game there are 3 levels which are actually electronic songs. According to the music the bits are approaching from the right side. As you hit them with the paddle they make a sound that becomes party of the music. It starts simple but soon the bits approach faster and in irritating ways and complex formations. You’ll have to play the levels over and over again and learn it to beat the boss at the end of a level.

Level 2 and 3 start with complex patterns, so you better learn the first level before you progress. Three more levels are available as an in app purchase. There is also a HD version for the iPad – but I see no real difference and would recommend saving the money and play the iPhone version on the iPad instead. I don’t understand, why they didn’t make it a universal app.

This game is unique, highly addictive, fun and highly recommended!

A medium sized map

Conquer all countries for world domination. App Store link (0,79 €)

This is a strategery game with simple rules and great depth. The dots in the countries represent armies. If you attack a neighbour country all involved armies roll a dice. If you win, your armies move to the attacked country. This is how you expand your empire. At the end of your turn you get new armies for each country in your largest unbroken cluster. To win you have to own all countries. More info and screenshots after the break…

There are 4 different sizes for the radom generated maps and several set up options concerning the amount of players, the strenght of the AI oponents, the initial map set up and the way the bonus armies are placed. It works fine on the iPhone but even better on the iPad, especially if you play the “epic” maps. You can play multiplayer games on one device and online.

I’ve been playing this game over and over again. It’s slick and fast and has a nice minimal but very functional design. Compared to others board games I’ve seen such as Neurishima Hex, Catan and Carcassonne this game is the winner!

Monster Valley

We love Poppy, and we are happy they have a new small game for us. As usual in Poppy’s universe, this new game is easy, really nice and addictive.

The aim is to help monsters cross a valley by placing a bridge where they can jump. Well, I confess, I am not a great player, but it is not so easy as it sounds. From time to time a bird will drop an egg. If it reaches the right side, a new monster will be born!

All I can say: this is a just simple game that you will enjoy. I love poppy.

Level with green wall

A logic strategy game with a good artificial opponent and a nice two player mode. App Store link (1,59 €)

The objective in Artilect is to move the grey circle to the red opponent’s base on the bottom of the game grid. When it’s your turn, you can make one move to the 8 surrounding nodes of the current position. This way you draw a connecting path. If you move to a node that has been visited before, you can make another move and collect extra points. You can not move on a path that has been taken before.

The single player mode starts with simple levels that introduces differend kinds of nodes. Later they start getting real challenging but never frustrating which is why I played Artilect for hours!
