Running and Shooting

Running and Shooting

Double thumb action: shoot and run. App Store link (0,79 €)

Minigore is a really nice looking 3D shooting game. With your right thumb you control where your cube-headed character is running and with the left thumb you control the direction in which he is shooting.

Landing Site Ahead

Landing Site Ahead

Safety land a lunar module on the moon. App Store link (0,79 €)

This game works almost like a flight simulator for a lunar module. Control the direction of your lunar module by tilting your iPhone and touch the thrust button to accelerate in the direction of the lunar module’s orientation. Watch your v.speed and h.speed – they will turn red if you’re too fast for a safe landing. Read the rest of this entry »

Enviro Bear 2010 – Review

A bear in a car in the woods

A bear in a car in the woods

An experimental animal experience game. App Store link (0,79 €)

This might look like a fun retro racing game, but it’s not. It’s rather a car experience from a bear’s point of view. Just like a bear isn’t able to read any manual instructions, you’re not given much advice other than: “Operation Hibernation. Eat fish and berries to fatten up! Winter arrives in 5 minutes.”

Phaze

Phaze

Run, run, run! You must win this race! App Store link

I don’t like racing games that much. Actually, I only have had one for my PS2, but I loved, and love it. It is WipEout. And I was happy to see that there is a lil’ brother for the iPhone. Read the rest of this entry »

I love Katamari – Review

Katamari

The King of All Cosmos for your iPhone.

App store link

This is really a blast. Katamari, the cutting-edge PlayStation game for the iPhone. The King of All Cosmos charges you, ‘the prince’, to go to the earth, with a katamari, a magic ball that collects everything it touches, that is smaller than the ball. You roll the katamari through different areas like a big town, an island or a residence. The areas are full of different objects, from small to big. Objects which are smaller than your katamari will stick on it and after you collected enough objects the ball will grow so you can collect bigger things. Time is ticking and you have to make your katamari as big as it gets. Read the rest of this entry »
