Level with green wall

Level with green wall

A logic strategy game with a good artificial opponent and a nice two player mode. App Store link (1,59 €)

The objective in Artilect is to move the grey circle to the red opponent’s base on the bottom of the game grid. When it’s your turn, you can make one move to the 8 surrounding nodes of the current position. This way you draw a connecting path. If you move to a node that has been visited before, you can make another move and collect extra points. You can not move on a path that has been taken before.

Grey Blocks

Grey Blocks

Guide the permanently bouncing Squareball through a horizontal maze and select different coloured blocks. App Store link (0,79 €)

The ball will bounce up and down in the centre of the screen inbetween the walls of a maze. You move the maze horizontally by either dragging it with your finger or tilting the iPhone according to the  control type you chose. You have to collect the green and blue blocks. If the ball leaves the maze through one of the holes in the walls you’ll lose a live. A real fun game with a sweet 8bit soundtrack. Check the gameplay video & screenshots after the jump!

Colorbind – Review

colorbind

colorbind

A beautiful well crafted puzzle app. App Store link (1,59 €)

Draw the paper “binds” with your finger and make sure they cover all the dots of the corresponding color. Simply rules and nice logical limitations make this game interesting and motivating. The solutions for all the levels look like nice handcrafted art. It’s totally worth the price so don’t you hesitate a second!

Rotating spikes

Rotating spikes

Tilt the iPhone to move a puck through amazing mazes. App Store link (0,79 €)

This game works a little like the well known labyrinth app. But there are some major differences. The maze is not limited to the screen size. It extends to the upper screen edge. By tilting the iPhone left and right you’re moving the puck left and right and by tilting up and down you’re actually moving the maze while the puck stays in the vertical centre of the screen. This way, there is much more space for a different kinds of obstacles and other gameplay elements.
